Here at NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING, our approach to creating the brand, was too captivate an audience with NON/SENSE.
Our branding is broken down into syllables, to reflect how the NOTA visionaries minds processes words. The word processing is something unique, with dyslexia playing a fundamental part in our daily lives and our literature.
PHASE 1 / 3: NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING BRAND INTRODUCTORY
The NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING visionaries believe that creativity holds no bounds and should be an expression of the mind, even when restrictions are put in your way.
When creating our DEB—UT collection, we were told how our vision of a high-end, sustainable streetwear fashion label, would be almost impossible to produce, with to many components needed to fulfill our vision of creating what we had envisioned.
With many hours of research and meetings with various textile production companies, our vision started to appear and our components started to merge and attract.
Read below to learn how we created our completely sustainable and Eco-Friendly DEB—UT collection.
HOW NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING CREATED THEIR DEB—UT COLLECTION.
PHASE 2 / 3: NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING SOURCING + PRODUCTION
The DE—TAILS labels that you find on the outside of NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING'S garments, are made from rPET (Recycled Polyester). rPET is often produced from PET as a raw material, which is often found in water bottles. The plastic is then sterilised and crushed, then spun into a string of yarn, which can be transformed into a fiber and then blended into fabric.
Organic cotton farmers use natural methods to grow cotton, without the use of fossil-fuel based fertilisers. By working with nature, farmers build healthy soils which store carbon and help to combat climate change. Organic cotton emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic cotton, this makes a huge difference to our atmosphere + the air we breath.
The growing procedure of the NOTA Organic Cotton, also results in less water consumption and water waste, this is due to the healthy, sponge like soil that organic farming creates, allowing for the soil to soak up and retain water in times of little rainfall and droughts. Hazardous synthetic pesticides and fertilisers are banned in organic farming, so rivers, lakes and drinking water are kept cleaner too. Our Organic Cotton is also 100% traceable to the original source.
The NOTA organic cotton selection is of much higher quality vs non-organic cotton, providing a longer life span for your clothing, while allowing you to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, with the environmental impact and carbon footprint trace significantly lowered.
Textiles made from the organic cotton NOTA selects, are approved under the Control Union Certifications in The Netherlands and is processed, developed and constructed into clothing, in Portugal.
NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING chose Portugal as their production region, as it is driven by small-scale textile mills, that are able to produce smaller orders, allowing us to create a sustainable + original brand.
The Portuguese economy, also employs more than 138,000 people in over 5,000 companies, working in all sub-sectors of the textile and fashion industry and with our ethical practices, this allows for us to ensure and have peace of mind that our seamstresses are paid a fair + living wage.
Hand washing is advised for all of our pieces, not just to protect the quality of your NOTA item, but to also preserve and reduce water contamination. Hand washing will increase the longevity of your garment, by preserving the fibers and the detailing, in a way that a washing machine can't.
