NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING / PI—LOT
PI—LOT, it represents where the brand currently stands and the progress that has been made so far with the DEB—UT collection.
The T-Shirts and Hoodies which currently make up the DEB—UT collection, where in my eyes, a pilot capsule. I wanted to test the water, I wanted to build a NOTA community, which has grown so much over the past 6 months, as to how people were feeling about the brand, the story, the concept and the designs.
The reaction has been amazing, I feel the community that has been built so far is just getting stronger, with people almost sanctioning their approval for everything NOTA stands for and the vision I envisioned.
The whole ethos of NOTA is to bring a new ethos to streetwear, yes the branding is made to not make sense through my interpretation of dyslexia, but it has been created to make a difference.
My aim is to create a high-end, sustainable streetwear fashion label, that people can wear knowing the right practices were in-place to create their clothing. Paying fair wages, using the best and organic materials, avoiding animal products, recycling water, up-cycling “surplus” materials and so much more.
My trip to Portugal at the beginning of this year, was not only to further understand the whole production phase of and to ensure that we are doing everything we can to be as sustainable as possible, but to also work on new pieces for the DEB—UT Collection.
With new pieces being introduced to the DEB—BUT collection over the course of 2022, (a year might seem like a big time frame), but NOTA believe in slow fashion, so slow, ethical production is a big factor of how NOTA produces its pieces and ensures there is not any stress on our supply chain.
Introducing the PI—LOT strategy to the brand, has allowed the brand to further flourish, while demonstrating just how we feel fashion needs to be adapted to work with the environmental crisis that the fashion industry currently faces.
